When the YVA'S come to mind...i know it's gonna be just as much about the fashion as the talent...so ladies and gents know that their outfits should be on point!
Personally, when i'm thinking about an outfit for an even such as this...i try to stay away from the common and tacky...
The super tight spandex dresses, the low cut and the high rise...
What i hate most is to go to an event or party and every other girl is clad in a short spandex dress, or less.... I've seen girls come out for a party dressed in less than underwear...as in tho...seriously?
As a female, i know, that we all wanna look sexy....but that doesn't mean wearing something exposing, especially if it grabs and hugs you to highlight your problem areas?
Thats just Tacky... =/
Now...for the males....theres nothing hot about a t-shirt and jeans...absolutely nothing...it's 2011...step your ass up...it's the year for fashion...and if you don't upgrade your dress code, your girl will prolly upgrade you....yup...
it's called presentation...get with it...
LADIES
This season it's all about sheer fabrics, crop tops are also very popular....so..get that tummy inshape =]....
paired crop top and shorts
cropped top paired with shorts, boyfriend jacket and tassel earrings
It's the year of flash backs...so wide legs pants are also great this season....think 70's....so invest in some high waisted trousers...the trousers can be paired with the cropped tops...
shorts are also hot this season...tweed,nude,white or vibrant....remember it's all about colour block this year, so go wild...oranges, pinks, red's, blue's and purple's....
and if shorts arent your thing...go for the full skirts, u can pair one with a fitted or cropped top.
...i already mentioned colours, but it doesnt hurt to mention again.....colours colours colours ....pair bright colours together...orange is VERY it this season...
Now for dresses....lol...it's all about cuts, detailing and prints....

GENTS
Ok..so ya'll know the rule....stay away from all t's graphic...if u do decide to sport a t-shirt, pair it with a blazer or a cardigan....a white t-shirt and a fitted doesn't apply here either...and men....button down shirts should not be paired with fitted caps..thats just wrong...
flared jeans are totally in for men as well...so dnt be shy.....
remember,this is a red carpet event...u can never go wrong with a suit
stripes are in..this striped button up shirt cannot fail..
yes...i did say colours...i didnt only mean for the females...men if you'r bold enough...the colour trend is the right pick for you
